Problems or Questions Regarding Age Verification

Due to the nature of the products we sell, we need to conduct a one-time age verification procedure on all new customers to ensure we’re not selling to any minors. If you keep using the same customer account, you’ll only need to do this once.


We’ll attempt to verify your age automatically during the checkout process, and a majority of customers will pass without any further action. We've integrated our checkout system with VerifyMyAge (a third-party service) to make this as seamless as possible.


A quick background check will be carried out during checkout on your first order, which will attempt to match your details against public records. For this reason, please use your full name and address and double-check for errors, as these will cause a "no match" message.


But don't worry: if VerifyMyAge is unable to verify your age automatically, you can still place your order. You’ll be given 48 hours to verify your age using one of our providers, and if you run into issues, we can help. We won’t dispatch your order until you’ve completed age verification, and if you fail to do this within 48 hours, your order will be cancelled and refunded.


We’ve made changes to the way we conduct age verification. As of December 2023, we’ve expanded our providers to include both VerifyMyAge and 1Account, making it easier than ever for you to verify your age. If you encounter issues with one of the services, you can use the other to verify your age. 


VerifyMyAge offers several quick and hassle-free methods to verify your age, including age estimation via selfie. We also offer verification via 1Account, which is handy if you’ve ever bought vapes online elsewhere. If you’ve used 1Account to verify your age before, you’ll pass automatically.

VerifyMyAge offers an array of quick options for age verification.


The most popular method is taking a quick selfie. Their smart AI algorithm will analyse your photo to estimate your age. There are also options to upload a picture of your ID, such as your driver’s licence or passport.


If you don't have access to a camera, you can also verify your age with a mobile phone contract or credit card (not a debit card). To view all available options, click on the "choose another method" link at the bottom of the age verification screen.


1Account

1Account is a handy option if you’ve ever bought vapes online before, since a large percentage of vape retailers use the service for their own age verification. 1Account stores your details in their database, so if you’ve ever verified your age with them before, you’ll automatically pass the check.


The quickest way to verify your age with 1Account is to provide your mobile phone number. 1Account will attempt to verify you with your mobile phone network.


If you don’t pass this check, you can verify your age using a credit card, driver’s licence, your electoral roll information, or a national ID (like a passport).

How do I know if I've passed age verification?

We'll send you an email to let you know once you've passed age verification.


You can also check by logging into your Vape Green account and visiting the My Account page. If you're verified, you'll see a green notification at the top of the page. If you don't see anything here, please refresh the page and check again.

Will I be charged for age verification?

No. Age verification is a free service.

Does Vape Green store my details?

It’s understandable if you’re wary of sharing your personal information online. However, please rest assured that any information you share with either VerifyMyAge or 1Account is completely shielded from us.


Due to GDPR, we do not have access to any of your information in these age verification systems. When your age is verified via VerifyMyAge or 1Account, all we can see is your name, the method you used, and whether or not you passed the check.

Will the age check affect my credit score?

If a check is run against your credit report and you’re signed up to a credit reporting agency like Equifax, you may be notified that a check has been made. Don’t worry—this is called a “soft check” and is for identification purposes only.


It has no effect whatsoever on your credit score. The check will only be visible to you, and it won’t show up if a bank or lender runs a credit check on you. 


I’ve placed my order but I’m struggling with age verification.

If you’ve placed your order and you’re struggling to complete the age verification process via one of the services, please try using the other service.


If you’ve tried using both VerifyMyAge and 1Account and are still experiencing issues verifying your age, contact us at [email protected] and we can manually verify your age as a last resort.


For your security, please do not email any documents or photos of your documentation to us directly. We will instead ask you to upload a photo to a secure, encrypted service.
