Card Payment Not Going Through

If you're experiencing issues with your card payment not processing, it could be due to the Address Verification Service (AVS) or Card Code Verification (CCV). There could also be other reasons your payment didn't go through.

We'll walk you through some of the possible reasons for card payment issues here, and help you figure out how to rectify them.

Why won't my card payment go through?

This could be due to the Address Verification Service (AVS) or Card Code Verification (CCV), among other possible factors.

AVS compares the billing address provided in a given transaction with the address the card is registered to at the bank responsible for issuing your card. Ensure that the billing address you entered matches the one you provided to the bank, and be sure to check that you've entered the correct CCV code (located on the back of your card). These are the two most common reasons why a payment may not go through as intended.

Other reasons for payments not going through could be that the card-issuing bank did not approve the transaction. This could be for:

• insufficient funds

• frozen account status

• invalid credit card number or expiration date

It could also be the case that your card is on a temporary hold awaiting validation, which would require you to contact your bank to verify your most recent purchases.

Can you tell me why my card payment didn't go through?

Unfortunately, the card-issuing bank does not provide us with additional details regarding the reason for the card being declined, so we cannot determine why your card payment was declined.

Please contact your card-issuing bank for more details if you're certain that you've entered the correct billing address and security code.
